WEIQIAO Germany GmbH is the European subsidiary of the Shandong Weiqiao Pioneering Group, a privately owned company from Shandong Province in the People's Republic of China. For 9 years in a row, the company has been listed in the Fortune Global 500 as one of the world's leading companies in the textile and aluminum industries, covering the entire value chain of the industries.
In February of 2020, WEIQIAO Germany GmbH was established in Düsseldorf, Germany. The long-term goal of the subsidiary is to establish a system and network structure for research and development. With a focus of research and development on aluminum represent among other things important focus areas the lightweight construction comprehensive of the construction as well as automobiles, the renewable energies and material sciences such as the aluminum alloy and new materials.

WEIQIAO is motivated to connect to cooperation partners from academic and industry to facilitate joint research in the fields of aluminum alloy product and process innovation, aluminum recycling, automotive light weight, automotive batteries, and hydrogen energy concepts. The AMAP cluster offers a series of cooperation possibilities with the institutes and corporations for common sustainable and successful projects. For the future, WEIQIAO is looking forward to achieving many interesting joint research projects based on interdisciplinary, pre-competitive cooperation between companies of the aluminum industry, institutes of the RWTH Aachen University and end users in the relevant subject areas.
